Strong Flyer - Emily & Chris Do AcroLove

Strong Flyer – An AcroLove Joint

AcroYoga with Emily Reuman & Chris Filkins

“Strong Flyer”

Saturday December 31, 2016

Emily & Chris return once again to offer our particular take on movement and trust at the AcroLove Festival. This time we do strong flyer work.

Learn to embody lightness, grace, and strength as we move through uncommon spaces and bring old poses to new heights. This class will challenge new and experienced flyers to recruit muscles they didn’t know they had. We will also aim to refine sensitivity, proprioception, and technique to better understand and maximize efficient use of base structures and support. We will encourage acros who typically base to fly, and encourage acros who typically fly to fly extra badass.

Our class is at 11AM on Saturday afternoon. Hope to see you!

An Emily & Chris Joint

I shared Strong Flyer in October on simple wheel. One of the greatest gifts Emily has is that she’s an incredibly strong flyer. She’s very aware of what her body is capable of doing and she has acute awareness of alignment. When this type of facility is combined with sheer strength amazing poses and transitions become possible. It’s always such a pleasure to work with her.
