Here it is. “I’m repeatedly asked to keep everyone up to date on what is happening in my classes. So I started this email update to do just that. A few weeks ago at Westside Acro we shared a little flow we call “Leg Winder” Based on popular request here’s a link to the content from Friday January 18th.”

Westside Acro

Hi {{First Name Fix}},

Re: note from your acro teacher.

I’m repeatedly asked to keep everyone up to date on what is happening in my classes. So I started this email update to do just that. A few weeks ago at Westside Acro we shared a little flow we call “Leg Winder” Based on popular request here’s a link to the content from Friday January 18th.

We meet at 34 North in Santa Monica on Friday evenings and do fun stuff like this. Please invite your friends and let me know how this machine worked out for you! For those who want “Curly Bear” from last week’s class don’t worry I’ll share it soon.

Coming Up

Costa Rica ⚬ My partner Emily Reuman & I will be leading a session of exploration at Camp Camp Costa Rica March 6-11. It’s sure to be a blast in the jungle. This will be my second time sharing movement in Costa Rica. Practicing my gratitude muscle with this one. If you want to come here are more details.

The Safety Event – # SAFE.AF As many know I have been very involved in promoting safety & consent in the LA community for many years. Several years ago I took on the entire AY community to change an unsafe jam,  I’ve literally been sued by a teacher who has credibly been accused of abuse, & 3 years ago initiated a huge consent project within the community. Today i want to tell you about an event to be held in Los Angeles on March 9th. This event will feature a first responder report on what to do in case of acro accident along with loads of other safety and consent discussions. I can’t stress enough how useful this event will be to my student base. Please go!   Find more details here.

AcroSF  My partner Kelly Thayer & I will be leading a beginnerish level exploration of the “needle” shoulder stand pose w/ transitions during the second round of this new AcroSF festival in the city of San Francisco on March 17, 2019. If you are coming to the festival please say hi & train needles with me!

Austin  My partner Emily Reuman & I will be leading one of our signature weekend long “Soft Foot” intensives in Austin in conjunction with Empowered Acro on June 15th & 16th. It was 6 years ago that I was first asked by prominent members of the Austin community to go to Austin with an offering. I’m glad it’s finally happening! Stay tuned for more deets.

LAAcro Fest  I’ve been sharing surveys and hints here and there as my team from the Swing City burning man theme camp has been working out details on putting on a festival for locals here in Los Angeles. We have one of the longest running (1934) and largest acro communities in the world and yet we don’t have a festival here. That’s changing! Put June 29th down on your calendar and stay tuned for lots more detail.
