AcroYoga in LA – Some Rotation

AcroYoga with Chris Filkins

“Some Rotation”

Friday April 22, 2016

AcroYoga yet again at Westside Acro at Laughing Frog Yoga in West LA. Hard to believe we are still doing this over 3 years after it started but apparently none of us are bored yet. Friday nights in LA deliver some of the best acro in the country. Come to practice and get better with many other practitioners in the area. While this has always been an all levels class it is very challenging. You may not be able to do everything presented in the class. In fact if you don’t then it means we are doing it correctly. You should come away challenged and sweaty and blissed out and frustrated and happy with your improvements. Frustrated they weren’t more.

Classes at Westside are not designed so that everyone succeeds or has the same experience. We try to challenge you to become better and to push at your edges.

So bring yourself, and your partner, and your spotter. Or just yourself. We got the rest covered.

This week at Westside Acro we explore aspects of rotation in the horizontal plane. It’s going to be very similar to flatland except there will be monkeys around. Last week we explored some really bendy ways of looking at movements we think of as planking moves. This week we will explore rotations around a vertical center instead of a horizontal center. What? Just come to class and find out. There will be fun to be had.

Yes there will be a machine, or two. No you won’t care either way by the time we are done with you.

Rotate against the momentum and see where it leads you. Please!

So many tricks and quizzles up in here.

Class starts at 7:30PM and we hold the space until 1030PM. There will be lots of content, some jamming, and lots of growth.

Class is $15 and includes up to 3 hours of content & jam. The oldest running class series in LA and also the best! Please come!

Bring water & tight fitting comfortable non slippery clothing. Bring a mat and a partner if you got em. But don’t worry if you don’t as we got you covered.

Please come!
